St Petersburg Christmas Lights

Well the lights are out for Christmas 2008. It was another successful year and plans are already in the works for a bigger and better show next year. PetPal Animal Shelter thanks everyone for a better year than last with $363 collected.

Lights will turn back on again November 27th, 2009 at 6PM.

Welcome to Starrlight Spectacular, the home of one of the largest and best Christmas Light displays in St Petersburg, Florida and the home of Gary and Janet Starr. 

Our Christmas Light Show is synchronized to music which is transmitted via an FM Transmitter.  So come on by and stand out front and watch while listening to the music through our outdoor speakers or sit in your car and tune your radio to 96.3 FM.

We are completed 3 years of computer animation with huge success and we are now planning and preparing for a bigger and better display Christmas of 2009.   Gary will also be attending our first PlanetChristmas PLUS (Christmas Light Enthusiast Conference) which is being held in Louisville, Kentucky this year.  Yes there are a lot of other crazy Christmas Light people out there.

On our site you will learn about why we do it, detailed information about the Starrlight Spectacular display, pictures, videos and hopefully have a few smiles.

You may ask why we do this.  There are multiple answers to this question.  First and foremost is to Celebrate the Birth of Jesus.  Please follow the why button on the left for more to answers this question.

This year all of the donations collected during the Christmas Light Show will be given to Petpal Animal Shelter in St Petersburg, Florida.

We are also dedicated and strong supporters of Operation Christmas Child. We collection donations and shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child in October and November.
